Schremser Rye Beer is a product of the Lower Austrian private brewery Karl Theodor Trojan in Schrems.

There was a time when rye beers were forbidden. The use of rye was only allowed to make bread.

The taste of Schremser Rye Beer has a pleasant beer wort. The first gulp is not that special, then comes a the pleasant wort taste, which is followed by a short aftertaste. The beer is very pleasant to drink and you can taste a strong flavour of rye in it. I would say Schremser Rye is quite a good beer.
